Sit Down, Listen, and Write

Something so simple became my mantra one December.

Because to truly listen, you first need to understand the place you occupy in front of another person. The place of someone who, even if only for a moment, is entrusted with another person’s thoughts, emotions, and memories. Someone who has also chosen to sit across from you and share a piece of their life.

As the months passed, that deeply Latin American ability to find beauty in the ordinary began to change the way I looked at the world. I stopped searching for grand answers and simply started listening, writing, and living—without judgement.

That is how The Non Stories was born.

A platform dedicated to telling the stories of those who often remain behind the curtain. Ordinary people who, when listened to a little more closely, reveal something profoundly extraordinary.Stories of people you would probably never think to pay attention to.

Here, we do not tell stories about wildlife, monuments, or landscapes. I am interested in the people who give those places meaning, breath, and memory. The people who might also want to sit down with you and talk about their lives.
